Create a Simple Inexpensive Gift with Twill Bobbin Ribbon

If you follow the blog then you know I love “Bows and Crafts for Less“.  I am also thrilled when I find an inexpensive item I can transform into something special and unique.  I recently purchased at the Dollar Store a package of three little white tins for a $1.00.  The three pack of tins was in their wedding section but I had other plans for them.  My spider plant is always having little babies and I promised some of the babies to a friend.   Three little spider plant babies and three little white tins; we have a match!!

Bowdabra’s Ribbon Crafts & Things Store has some beautiful twill ribbon with wonderful inspiration words and sayings.  I love the durability and texture of twill ribbon!

I chose a few of the Morex Twill Bobbins to decorate the outside of the small potted plants.  I first attached double-sided tape around the edge of the tin pots and then placed the twill ribbon on top of the double-sided tape.

The small potted plants are ready to be given as a gift.  I used spider plants because that is what I had on hand but basil, rosemary, oregano and other herbs would work wonderful as a hostess gift.
