Sandy Sandler’s TV Appearance: The Morning Blend – Thanksgiving Hostess Gifts

November 18, 2011
By Bowdabra Design Team

Sandy Sandler, inventor of the Bowdabra and founder of Crafters 4 Kids (http://c4k555.org) visited The Morning Blend’s television studio, yesterday.

Sandy, shared our latest Thanksgiving tutorials.  The craft tutorials are handmade hostess gifts that the whole family can get involved in making.

You don’t want to show up to Thanksgiving empty-handed.  With friends, family, or kids create easy homemade hostess gifts for this upcoming Thanksgiving.

While making these gifts talk with friends, family, and children about all the things that they have to be thankful along with the many blessings in their life.    Crafting as a family and with friends is a wonderful way to make memories and create strong bonds.

Sandy had so much fun sharing the following tutorials:

How to Gift Wrap a Bottle for the Holidays -  A wonderful hostess gift for Thanksgiving is wine, sparkling cider, or sparkling grape juice.  Looking for a creative way to wrap the bottle before giving it as a gift?  Purchase discounted or inexpensive little girl’s tights.  One leg, of the tights, is the perfect fit for holding a bottle of wine or sparkling juice.  Add a ribbon, bows, and other embellishments for an elegant hostess holiday gift.

How to Make an Easy Table Centerpiece - Design and make this easy Thanksgiving table centerpiece to bring as a hostess gift.  This super simple table centerpiece is not too large or too high but rather the perfect size and compliment for a holiday table.  The floral arrangement requires very few craft items and can be designed very cheaply.  Best of all the arrangement looks anything but, inexpensive!

How to Make a Thankful Card – Send Thanksgiving cards to show the people in your life how thankful you are for them.  Create unique cards with card stock, gems, embellishments, ribbons, and Mini Bowdabra bows.  Inside of the card write a heartfelt message of thankfulness.  Send thankful cards or give as a hostess gift at Thanksgiving dinner.

How to Make a Handmade Frame – Create this inexpensive but exquisite handmade frame to give as a Thanksgiving hostess gift.  I purchased an unfinished frame cutout for only .50 cents at a local store.  I finished the frame with items that I had in my craft stash.  I am thrilled with the results of my super inexpensive frame!

How to Make a Beaded Bookmark – Create a beautiful beaded ribbon “Blessings” bookmark as a thank you gift.   Bring a book and the ribbon and beaded bookmark to Thanksgiving or any special event, as hostess present.
