What do you do when none of your dinnerware matches and you are hosting a dinner party? First and foremost deep breaths, don’t stress about none of your dishes matching. Chances are your guests won’t even give it a second thought. Now lets get on our creative hats and use your mismatched tableware, to your advantage.
Take mismatching to a whole new level. Go out of your way to make sure nothing matches. Need some extra mismatched china? Visit flea markets, garage sales, and antique stores to pick up a variety of inexpensive tableware.

Detract from the mismatched plates with creative DIY table linens. Sew your own brightly colored cloth napkins and embellish with fabric paint.

Mismatch the chairs along with the dinnerware. Take the mismatched look to chairs and add a collection of different styles, all at similar heights.

Design a central theme. Even though none of the plates match add some constant and similar colors. Notice the blues and yellows 0n the table, along with the little white owls at each place setting.

Use vintage bottles for a tablescape. Vintage and mismatched bottles filled with flowers make a great tablescape for mismatched dinnerware.

I thinks its super charming when the china doesn’t match. I purposely mix my 90′s wedding china with my 40′s American Limoges. They are nothing alike except both sets have a platinum ring. I like to tie my mismatches in such a way, ie florals, metallic detail, etc.
