I am a designer specializing in ribbon and notions. You might know me for my ribbon cupcakes, they were a huge hit at craft events all over the country. I have made them for clients all over the world. My book, A Notion To Celebrate, was published earlier this year by Leisure Arts. I hope to have a second book in the near future. Would be much sooner if I would just sit down and make the projects that are swimming around in my head.
I am also the inventor and owner of the Ribbon Ring (www.ribbonring.com). I like to keep my workspace clean and organized. Pieces of ribbon were always a source of frustration for me, so I came up with a solution that is both efficient and beautiful.
My flower garden is a huge source of inspiration when working with my art. It might be a color combination that I see in the perennial garden, or the spicy scent of the roses that make me smile and feel creative.
In my free time (yeah right), I am a college professor. Teaching is another passion of mine.
