My name is Margaret “Maggie” Schoener. I am originally from a small town of suburban Philadelphia, but I’ve been in Houston, Texas for over 40 years now. I’m a single mom with 2 grown daughters and 4 awesome grandchildren. I’m also “mom” to 4 furbabies who live in my house, Chancey, Paisley, Reggie, and Maggie Mae who are the inspiration for my Stamp Haven and blog - I also have 5 outside kitties that I love just as much and take care of. I’ve only been blogging since July which I started to showcase my cards.
I learned a love of crafting from my mom, mostly then it was needlework of all kinds. I was an avid seamstress and made many of my own and children’s clothes. I even made a suit jacket for my then husband. I’ve been paper crafting for a lot of years starting with scrapbooking and then moving on to rubber stamping. I love all things creative, but there’s only time for so much especially with a full time job. I love a challenge and have seen my style evolve over the years and have enjoyed learning so many different techniques. My passion right now are Copic markers and I am a Certified Copic Designer. One of my drawbacks has been that I am so “bow challenged” and can never make a good looking bow. A friend told me about the Bowdabra and I ordered one right away and am so glad that I did. First, it’s been a big help in my card making and because of that, I was “found” by Sarah. I’m so honored and excited to be invited to be a part of the Design Team for Bowdabra. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow in my craft and making a contribution to Bowdabra.

So glad to see this. My cat is named Amazin’ Gracie but YOU are The Amazin’ Maggie. We go back many years to your time in PA. I remember your Mom sewing and crafting and even papering the wall in one room – I forget which one! She was amazing.
Best wishes from your old friend and next door neighbor.
Jane, Thanks for sharing! We are so excited to have Maggie as part of our Bowdabra Design Team. We think she is pretty amazing, as well.
Maggie, I am looking for ideas for decorating for a church cookie exchange, any ideas?
Hi Sharon!
Do you have a particular theme in mind? What time of the year are you having it? It is always fun to decorate for the season that we are in or going to be in.
